Armenian Missionary Association of America
The Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA), a 501 (c) 3 organization, was founded in 1918 and has headquarters in Paramus, NJ and Yerevan, Armenia. They assist Armenians globally by maintaining a range of educational, evangelistic, relief, social service, and church programs.
AMAA has been the cornerstone of Armenian education for many decades, and supports 24 Armenian Evangelical schools around the world. The schools provide an educational, spiritual, and cultural setting for over 2,800 students each year. The AMAA remains dedicated to providing Armenian children with a solid education and the opportunity for a more promising future.
We caught up with Lusine, and impressive former student from the Avedesian School, to see what she had been up to since we had last filmed her in Yerevan (see previous video, below). Filmed at the AMAA annual banquet at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA.
A short Easter 2018 video Linda recorded of Zaven Khanjian, executive international director of AMAA, talking about the importance of education in Armenian, against the backdrop of her ubiquitous sugar sculpture.
